Since the age of 13, I have loved photography and capturing engaging moments. Fascinated by the aspect of permanence, I can remember the exact location from where I snapped every photo, how the weather felt on my skin, and whether I was alone or with someone. If I long to reminisce about a past trip, I gaze upon my photos of my adventurous destinations, and I am transported back to the sights and sounds of my journeys. We should all experience the beauty of the world, and I have the pleasure of showcasing that abundant uniqueness that surrounds all of us through my photography.

I have attended many college courses and camps regarding the art of photography. I enjoy collaborating with others and bringing my photography to life in the darkroom. It is interesting to learn about others’ perspectives, skills, and knowledge revolving around photography. As I navigate the path of my hobby-turned-passion becoming my full-time career, I have communicated with one of my professors who is in graphic design and has dealt with the same struggle. She shared with me that it can be difficult finding a balance between career and hobby, but finding inspiration should never wane or be sacrificed. Inspiration and passion come from exploring everyday nature and environment, finding the intricate within the simple, and being able to convey beauty and awe in photography.

Just as I approach photography with a fresh and creative eye, I bring the same mindset to my work ethic. I embrace challenges as opportunities to think differently, adapt quickly, and find innovative solutions. Whether behind the camera or in a collaborative work setting, I am always looking for ways to push creative boundaries and bring new ideas to life.

Photography is my passion, and I truly hope I can inspire people to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them. I believe the way we go about our days is all about perspective; you cannot appreciate the sun if you don’t have rainy days. You can move to another city far from home and become homesick, but if you have photographs that capture the essence and feelings of your home, they can bring you back home from anywhere. Capturing your surroundings is essential to life and creating memories, and photography links one’s experiences forever to family and generations to come.
